Location Description and History

The town site was laid out and christened Silver City because rich deposits of chloride silver were discovered to the west of the settlement. A bright future was predicted for the new mining camp, however in 1893 the bottom dropped out of the silver market. The mines eventually closed down and the camps became ghost towns.

However, Silver City moved ahead. The city is located in the foothills of the Pinos Altos Mountains at about 6,000 feet and its near the Continental Divide.

The Repeat Boutique was once Silver City's movie theater. The screen and seats have been gutted out, making space for unique second hand items and furniture. Additionally it appears that several ghosts inhabit the premises as well.

Reported Phenomena

  • Feeling of being watched, unseen presence
  • Disembodied footsteps and voices
  • Un explainable movement of Objects

The Investigation

We searched the building for any unusual EM frequencies but only located AC fields at 60Hz that were originating from the old electrical wiring of the building. Photographs revealed nothing but airborne contaminants.

During this visit, we found nothing to indicate that this building is haunted.
