Schieffelin Hall is one of the most haunted but over looked buildings in Tombstone. During the 2003 Clanton Days Ghost Tour, the entire group heard what sounded like chains or spurs rattling inside the building. At first they sounded like they were coming from around the corner of the building, then they sounded like they were coming from inside the building. Some of the people present said it sounded like spurs.

Employees and patrons at this quaint restaurant have reported the presence of spirits dating back from the frontier days. The playful ghosts are blamed for moving objects and making crashing sounds.The people who own the restaurant do not believe that it is Nellie Cashman, the building's former owner. However, whoever haunts the building is very sensitive to criticism and the ghosts will make themselves known.

The Bisbee Grand Hotel is also the home for two resident ghosts, one of a man that resides downstairs and one of a female that stays upstairs. The spirits are mostly just visible as apparitions and do not move objects around. The latest sighting was in a downstairs suite called the Captain Room.

Late at night the sounds of footsteps and voices can be heard throughout the building. Some claim that the ghost of Big Nose Kate haunts the saloon as it was one of her favorite places in life. Founded in the late 1800's as a mining town, Bisbee has seen its share of mining accidents, barroom brawling gone bad, and tragedy in general. There is a presence in both the "Blue Room" and in Room 13 (now room 23), as well as in several other locations throughout the house. In the "Grandma Room," various guests have reported what appeared to be an older woman watching over them during the night. Although the sightings reportedly made guests nervous, it was thought to be a benevolent spirit offering its presence as protection.

Madam Jennie Banter is believed to haunt this building. Easily the wealthiest woman in town in her era, became active in the building after it was transformed into the Inn at Jerome, probably very pleased with the renovation efforts.Her favorite room seems to be the Lariat and Lace Room. Three other spirits are also said to frequent the inn from time to time.

In room 2, objects tend to move around. There used to be an old chair in front of the window sitting by the desk. The chair always seemed to be pushed into the desk, out of the range of the window, even though people purposely moved it away from the desk.

There have been several "unusual things" reported to the owners since they have owned the Ghost City Inn. These include three sightings of a female spirit in the Cleopatra Hill Room and two reported sightings of a male spirit upstairs in the hall outside the Verde View Room. These sightings have been made by different people on different dates.

Other strange occurrences are the peculiar rings of the lobby telephone late at night, an image of a woman outside the Zane Grey Room and sounds of a man coughing continuously through the night. A visitor, on his way back to his room, he glanced into the ballroom where he saw the silhouette of a young woman darting from one side of the room to the other. The visitor heard nothing.The woman was thin, was about five feet tall and moved very quickly. She did not seem stranded, as she did attempt to get out of the ballroom.When he returned to his room, the visitor told his wife that he had just seen a ghost.

This is true for this place too, it seems, and it gives it a modern sense of excitement because everyone wants to visit a haunted house. A rejected boyfriend has not completely left. He now haunts his former residence and unusual incidents have been reported there. The phenomena includes the sightings of his apparition and mischievous pranks such as the moving of objects. Clocks on the second floor also have a habit of going off at 6:00am, even if the alarm has not been set.

One of the rooms in the hotel is haunted by a man who had a heart attack and died. He has been seen looking out of the window. Room 242 is known as the Suicide Room, a name given to it a few years ago, when a troubled woman shot herself in the bathroom after a standoff with the police and a SWAT team. People staying in this room hear strange noises that are quite creepy and they often have nightmares.

Judge Blenman's ghost and presence are said to occupy the Sydney Marie Suite. This regal 500 square foot, two-room suite was historically Judge Blenman's law office. His apparition is more of a shadow and is most often spotted at the private entrance to the patio that adjoins the room, although he has also been seen, very briefly, in the grand main hall.

The phenomena often reported in this alley includes the feeling of being watched, the sound of footsteps walking up behind you and an unexplainable odor of perfume. There have also been reports of strange shadows that "move" about in the alley after dark. An apparition of a young woman has been repeatedly seen near the town's community center, called Spook Hall, which sits just to the east of prostitute row.
